How We Work
At Bryce McKenzie Design we work closely with our clients to form a working partnership and a thorough understanding of our client's aspirations.
Every project undertaken is unique, each taking a bespoke route. Below is a guide to our design process and the way we work with our clients.
Phase 1: Design Concept
We begin any project with a site visit to assess the space, understand your needs & aspirations and develop a brief. We develop a feel for your personality and consider practicalities and constraints.
Our design team develop a concept for each room to address space planning, layout and specifications for decorative finishes, flooring, furniture, lighting and accessories.
Concepts are presented with discussion with the client.
Approx Timescale: 2 - 3 weeks from site visit.
Phase 2: Design Development
Designs are developed and refined following the presentation. Any bespoke furniture or products are created, we liaise with our trusted trades and skilled craftsmen where applicable. Final measurements are confirmed with a site visit, an implementation plan is created and estimates are confirmed.
Approx Timescale: 2 - 3 weeks from presentation.
Phase 3: Implementation
We begin the implementation of our designs. This can include; the supply of goods, trades, delivery and installation. A dedicated designer is on hand throughout the entire process to ensure implementation is as seamless as possible.
Timescale: this varies depending on the project, depending on the size of room and products specified. The overall process takes an average of 10-14 weeks. Disruption is kept to a minimum, with a room transformation taking roughly 2-3 weeks.
